How to add new information to an existing map? Posted: 07 May 2020 12:50 PM PDT We have an indoor robot which localizes itself in a given map. I would like to add a feature to it - If the robot keeps seeing a new unmapped feature for a given amount of time (say X hours) in the map, add the feature to the map to improve the localization score. Is there a name for this technique? Could you please link to papers/notes/thesis which discusses about this technique in detail? Thanks in advance. Note: The robot only does Localization and doesn't do any real-time SLAM. [link] [comments] | ||
