How do you guys honestly feel about Zoox? Please try to refer to the facts

    Posted: 07 May 2020 05:27 PM PDT

I am looking to work in the industry, I am now moving toward general robotics because I need more experience, but Zoox seems more welcoming of engineers without an MS/Ph.D.

The Tesla incident doesn't seem like that big of a deal to me. But it does concern me that they're trying to sell their own electric vehicle and make SDC software. It's hard to determine if this is a smart move. Tesla sold electric cars before they sold self driving features on it. They're trying to do both? It seems like a huge challenge to me.

I haven't heard much about their company culture, but I have seen a lot of people on LinkedIn leave them for Waymo or Argo

Edit: I now realize they are for sale. Great

    Degree for field

    Posted: 07 May 2020 06:26 PM PDT

I am a high school student who is very interested in autonomous vehicles. If I wanted to work in the field, what type of degree do you think would best prepare me? CS? EE? Would I need to get my masters too?

Building V2V System for autonomous vehicles

    Posted: 07 May 2020 05:39 PM PDT

I've been developing a Vehicle-2-Vehicle system for a little while now that is meant to make the technology accessible to autonomous vehicle manufacturers. I have begun discussing the project with some people at GM and GM Cruise and am beginning to reach out to other autonomous vehicle manufacturers. Through my university I was able to get a lawyer to help me with filing a patent and as of today it has officially been filed. I am looking to get peoples thoughts and opinions on using V2V to aid autonomous vehicles. Any feedback or criticism is welcome.
