Do any self driving cars (waymo, uber, cruise etc.) currently do real-time SLAM? Posted: 19 Apr 2020 09:52 PM PDT From what I have seen, most of the major self driving car companies build HD maps by manually driving the cars around and then when the cars are in auto mode, they just localize in that map. Is my understanding right? Is real time SLAM used anywhere in self driving cars? [link] [comments] | ||
