Posted: 29 Mar 2020 02:13 PM PDT Let's suppose full self driving will not work in the next 10 years or so. What would be Plan B? I guess Waymo is approaching this by having SDC for most situations and some remote control for the rest. The issue is, to roll out for example self driving trucks an excellent mobile connectivity would be needed, even in country areas. I just thought that Tesla Semi + Starlink would be a great combination for that. So even if Tesla would not manage to get their self driving tech working, they are in a good position to have at least some benefits of high autonomy. I imagine that remote control would not happen from western countries, but rather from south east Asia for example. But what would be the Plan B for the other companies in this field? Does moving object detection and motion segmentation are similler? Posted: 28 Mar 2020 09:56 PM PDT Hello! everybody, I am interested in unsupervised generic moving objects detection for autonomous vehicle. I was reading two papers Unsupervised Online Video Object Segmentation with Motion Property Understanding and Unsupervised Moving Object Detection via Contextual Information Separation . However, their both outputs are segmented images. Can somebody explain the differnce between moving object detection and motion segmentations? and are they related with my research? Thank you very much. [link] [comments] | ||
