Do any consumer auto pilot features adjust the speed going into curves?

My brand new, "safe" XC 60 inscription (with every option except for the infinity speakers) would literally fly me off a cliff if I used Pilot Assist II on a mountain road. Do Tesla or any of the other manufacturer's systems actually adjust your speed as you approach and come out of turned based on the angle of the turn? Is there some setting somewhere that I haven't enabled??

Also, it (AND last year's Lexus) will rear end cars stopped at a red light (or objects in the road) if they were not within the car's line of sight as they came to a stop. Why on earth they continue to speed at 75mph toward large stopped objects in the road is very disappointing and totally beyond me.
