Next best thing after Tesla's Autopilot Posted: 17 Jan 2020 03:04 AM PST What other driver assistance systems would you say are good, rated in order of best to worse? Unfortunately I can't afford a Tesla right now, but would like to have something that performs the same functions and is cheaper. [link] [comments]

Help finding in depth intro to autonomous vehicles Posted: 17 Jan 2020 10:07 AM PST I have an interview with uber ATG for a product manager role. I am looking for some literature or blogs where I can learn about the technology. Ideally 3-5 hours of reading to familiarize myself with the tech [link] [comments]

When will Waymo One be mostly driverless in at least a tiny area? Posted: 16 Jan 2020 03:00 PM PST In October 2019, there were some signals from Waymo that fully driverless rides are finally coming. I thought that by now, driverless rides would be normal for Waymo One users but the current situation is that only an unknown percentage of Early Rider Program rides are driverless. When do you think it will finally happen, specifically that there is at least a tiny area where most Waymo One rides are driverless? I wish Waymo was more open about their progress, e.g. provide metrics such as interventions per mile for Waymo One or simply explain what's taking so long, i.e. what types of situations are still causing problems. Although I understand that giving out this information might help their competitors. [link] [comments] |
