In order to speed up our transition from fossil fuels would it make sense to start building electrified carts that cars and trucks could park on while being transported from one city to the other? They would act as sort of a point to point shuttle allowing the cars to be turned off in transit until the drop off point where they would then finish driving themselves to thier final destination. The model could be somewhat like those bike sharing things you see in large cities.

Does anyone know if the 2019 Mercedes Sprinter Van has the necessary hardware for corrective steering or are they planning on using the differential braking to steer until the next generation comes out?

The 2019 Sprinter Van has LKAS kinda. Once you depart the lane, it uses selective braking to bring you back into the lane. Very cool that they have something, but it doesn't quite cut it IMO. I'm wondering if the steering column can be controlled with an ECU and they just haven't added this feature or if it's all hydraulic and is not ready to be controlled electronically. Does anyone know?
