Interesting video by Sean Mitchell about Amazon's use of EV vehicles for delievery. Specifically the part about the cost savings of the EV Vs a normal transit van. This looks like it was for CA since the gas was $4/gallon and the electricity $0.15/kWh. They are realizing a $15k/year savings on running costs Vs. the gas car.

These numbers were from the company managing the fleet so I'm sure this is the best light they can put it in. I would like to see something from Amazon themselves that also takes into account infrastructure costs, the cost of longer refueling times, etc.

This is a good example why SDC fleets will be EVs and not gas powered. The savings are huge because of the number of miles any fleet vehicle drives compared to a normal car. They can take advantage of the savings EVs offer while few consumers can today because the up front costs of EVs are still too high.
